Time to Plan Your Break!

As I sit here to write this, it is 40 degrees outside and raining.  It does not feel like Spring, but according to the calendar…and Punxsutawney Phil…it’s coming.  I don’t know about you, but February tends to feel like the longest month, even thought it is the shortest.  All the stress, all the tasks, all the things that could fall around you, seem to be happening all at once. Why not look ahead to March and plan a getaway?  Who said Spring Break is only for college kids with new bathing suits and kegs? No matter what you do, you can take some time to escape it all with one of these quick breaks.

Canyon Lake

Looking for something close to home?  This beauty is within a one-hour drive from San Antonio, and you will feel miles and miles away.  Grab an AirBnB right on the water, stop for some groceries on the way, and be ready for some hardcore relaxation and beauty.  Grouping up with some friends helps share the cost of a home, and makes a game night even more fun! Make sure to put “hot tub” on the filter, and pack your bathing suit so you can soak, enjoy some beverages, and look out on the beautiful sunset over the lake.

Gulf Shores, Alabama

Still within driving distance, a road trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama is definitely in order.  Boasting 32 miles of white sand beaches, activities for the family, and fresh, delicious seafood, Gulf Shores and neighboring Orange Beach are very popular attractions for all types of visitors.  You can do a home rental or a beach resort, depending on your preference, and visit shops, museums, and waterparks. Or, you can plop on the beach with a book for 3 days. I can tell you which one I would pick, but you definitely have options.

Vegas, Baby!

If you have a little more in your Spring Break budget, grab the girls or guys and get on a plane to Vegas!  The weather in the spring is AMAZING, and this is most definitely the time to go. Tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show, a day spent at the MGM Producers’ pool, and a ride off the side of New York, New York can fill your Spring Break with action and adventure. Do not be fooled, this will be a fast-paced vacay, and you will need time to recover.  Don’t plan on staying up late? Don’t worry, the casinos make it so bright you forget that it’s 2AM. Get ready to have the best time, and then sleep all the way home.

Take some time to get away, whether it’s by yourself, with your honey, or with your crew.  You need a break, and we are excited to see where it will take you!
