So I am of the opinion that “beach body” means the beach will get the body I have. That being said, there is nothing wrong with getting strong, healthy, and showing off some muscles at the pool. Just in time for swimsuit season, I am giving you my playlist for a fantastic workout. Use it for running, boxing, walking, or just jumping around your house. Have fun!
10. Toxic by Britney Spears
Good ol’ Brit always knows how to make us want to move. You may not want to wear the head to toe sparkles that she wears in the video as that is not quite workout friendly. Other than that, this tune will get you going.
9. Boom Clap by Charli XCX
This is the perfect workout song because you can turn it all the way up and jam out. Whatever workout you have chosen, this song will get in your head and make you want to move.
8. 24 K Magic by Bruno Mars
This one will make you feel super cool and hip in your workout gear, picturing yourself in Vegas, strutting down the strip instead of sweating on the trail outside your house. The beat is great for any workout, and don’t forget to put your pinky ring up to the moon for an extra arm stretch.
7. 7 Rings by Ariana Grande
It starts out slow, but my girl Ari brings the heat with this song, set to the tune of “My Favorite Things” from Sound of Music. Do you feel like a badass yet? You will now.
6. High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco
This song is one of my favorites right now and my current anthem for turning all the way up and screaming at the top of my lungs. It’s got motivation, goal setting, pushing past the haters, reaching for your best self…all the messages you need to hear during a workout.
5. Crazy in Love by Beyonce (ft. Jay-Z)
This is the perfect song for the middle of a workout sesh. It’s got a fast beat, dance opportunities, and duh, Beyonce.
4. Cake by the Ocean by DNCE
Such a great song, especially for summer, it is just super fun. A great beat, a Jonas brother, and cake. I feel like you can’t ask for more than that.
3. Berzerk by Eminem
If you aren’t ready to kick some booty after this song, then you might want to check your pulse. This song is straight up best of Eminiem and will make you involuntarily start moving your arms and legs. Might as well move them with some weights attached!
2. Shape of You by Ed Sheeran
This is a super hybrid because I love this song for jamming in the car, singing in the shower, AND working out. That’s why it’s in the top two of this list. When Ed says, “Come on be my baby, come on,” it’s really like he’s saying, “Come on do five more crunches, baby,” or “Come on run two more minutes, baby!”
And Number 1…..
I Did Something Bad by Taylor Swift
NUMBER 1 baby! Tay-tay knocked it out of the park and you will, too with this one. It’s definitely a rough-around-the-edges rant, and is ready to help you drip with sweat. You will not walk away from this one without feeling the burn.
Get your sweat on!
