If you don’t already have plans for the 4th of July, here are the best places to enjoy the holiday with family and friends around San Antonio.
Fourth of July at Woodlawn Lake
The star of the day will undoubtedly be the City of San Antonio’s Official Fourth of July Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park. It is an all-day affair, starting at 11:00 AM with a great lineup of water aerobics, food, carnival activities, The US Air Force Band, local DJs, and of course culminating in a fireworks extravaganza sponsored by H.E.B.
Red, White, and Bloom at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens
Join the flora of San Antonio at the Botanical Gardens with live music, lawn games, and a beautiful fireworks show hosted by the San Antonio Country Club. Tote along any food and beverages you want to bring, and pack your own blanket or chairs to make sure you are comfy.
Great American Picnic at the Pearl
Head to the lawn at the Pearl for the biggest picnic you will attend this year! Giant lawn games will keep the family entertained, and live music starting at 5 will keep the party going. Food and drinks will be available from The Bottling Department.
Fiesta Texas and Sea World
The Coca-Cola Fourth Fest at Fiesta Texas is back again, and a can of Coke will get you a wrist band for special events (not admission to the park). Stay for the prizes, dancing, and of course epic firework show. Sea World also boasts an impressive fireworks display set to music and enhanced with your own personal picnic if you book in time.
BONUS: Artisan Show
This fair runs Thursday, July 4th through Sunday, July 7th along the river walk extension near the Chamber of Commerce. Visit locals selling handmade items including textiles, jewelry, art, and more. Learn something new from an artist about their goods and craft, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery and talent.
